Liliana (and some stitching!)

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your advice about crafting lamps, I'll look into it.
I've been meaning to try some stitching for a while now and the latest Live and Love Crafts challenge was just the incentive I needed to finally have a go! I added some hand-stitching to the die-cut frame using some neutral thread for my first attempt. I found it really therapeutic so I'll be buying some thicker thread in different colours so I can do some more on future cards! I've used the Saturated Canary image Liliana (coloured with Inktense pencils) and Maja Design papers. I've added a little bit of Pumice Stone Distress Ink to the Kraft layers, white flowers and sentiment. I have also used:
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley
Butterflies - Pion Design cut-out sheet
Lace, charm, diamond dust (added to the flowers and butterflies) - Live and Love Crafts
Cheesecloth, twine - Ribbon Girl
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Gems, pearl string - Samuel Taylors
Bottle and beads - from my stash

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Live and Love Crafts - Stitching
Papertake Weekly - Spots & Dots

This is actually my 100th post so I'd like to say an extra big thank you for all of your visits and lovely comments which give me so much encouragement to keep creating and blogging!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Rebecca.

My First Gift Bag

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well. I bought some gift bags a couple of months ago and have finally got round to decorating one! I really enjoyed making this for a change. I used Inktense pencils to colour Tilda with Winding Flowers and am so happy that I'm now enjoying the colouring stage of crafting! There's a lot of glitter on the flowers so it's a lot more sparkly than it looks in the photo. I have also used:
Papers - Lili of the Valley (Antebellum)
Frame - Spellbinders die
Borders - Magnolia DooHickey (Old Swedish Lace)
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Butterflies - from a Pion cut-out sheet
Lace - Live and Love Crafts
Charm and seam-binding - Ribbon Girl
Pearls and pearl string - Samuel Taylors

I'm entering my gift bag into the following challenges:
Midweek Magnolias - Decorate a Gift Bag or Box
In the Pink - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - So Charming
Moving Along With The Times - Vintage

Before I go, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a crafting lamp to improve the quality of my photos? I don't use any at the moment so would love to hear your suggestions - thank you!

Thank you so much for visiting, I really appreciate it!

Catching Butterflies

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all okay. I thought I'd make a summery card today since it won't be long until Christmas completely dominates my crafting (not that I'm complaining - Christmas is definitely my favourite time of year!). I've used Tilda with Hawaiian Flower (coloured with Inktense pencils) and Maja Design papers. I've added the hearts using grunge paste and a Tim Holtz stencil. The butterfly is one of my favourite DooHickey dies and the other products I've used are listed below:
Hessian, lace, twine - Ribbon Girl
Sentiment - LOTV
Flowers - WOC
Pearl flourish - Creative Expressions
Heart pin - from my stash

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Bunny Zoe's - Summer Colours
A Creative Romance - Fun in the Sun
Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia - Celebrate

Thank you so much for visiting!

Snowy Tilda

Good morning everyone,
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my journal, they really mean a lot to me. The doily is part of some beautiful candy which I was very lucky to win recently from Craftingallday Creations (an absolutely stunning blog). I have also used:
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace - LOTV shop
Twine - Ribbon Girl
Pearls - Samuel Taylors
Frosted berries - Live and Love Crafts
Snowflakes - from a craft shop I visited recently (I added the glitter)

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Life is a journey

Hello everyone,
I visited the Lili of the Valley shop this morning so I've had a lovely afternoon of stamping with my new stash! I hope you've all had a good day too. I have a journal to share with you today which I made a few weeks ago but keep forgetting to post! The papers and postcard are from the Correspondence collection by Craftwork Cards, and the butterflies (with added diamond dust), tags and stamp were all elements that I cut out of some of the papers. I made the little envelope using a Woodware punch and the letters are from a Pion Design sheet. I've embellished with:
Hessian, lace, key charm (with added paint), twine - Ribbon Girl
Ribbon - Craftwork Cards
Pearls - Samuel Taylors

Thank you so much for looking and for all of your lovely comments! I'll be round to visit you all soon.
