Dyanne (and some exciting news!)

Hello everyone,
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your week is off to a great start! I have a card to share with you using one of the latest Wee images from Whimsy Stamps (via Bunny Zoe's), Dyanne - she is definitely one of my new favourites! The papers are from the new Maja Design collection, Nyhavn (via Live and Love Crafts) and I love these too - some of the colour schemes aren't ones I'd be brave enough to try without the push that Maja Design gives me but I really like them. I've also used:
Sentiment tags - Lili of the Valley
Lace, butterflies (Pion Design cut-out sheet), Diamond Dust (on flowers, image and butterflies), gesso (on flowers), cheesecloth - Live and Love Crafts
Twine - Ribbon Girl
Open roses, sweetheart blossoms, wild roses - Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls - Samuel Taylors
Heart pin - from my stash

I'm entering my card into the following challenge:
Fussy and Fancy - Things With Wings

And now for my news:

One DP at Winter Wonderland

Good morning everyone,
We would like to see Only One Design Paper at Winter Wonderland this week. I've used an image from our generous sponsor All Dressed Up who very kindly gave the DT some beautiful digis to use. I was a little bit nervous about this challenge because I do love my layers, but I chose paper from Lili of the Valley's Promises pad (hand-stitched, as always). I've also used:
Flowers (with added gesso and glitter) - Wild Orchid Crafts
Frame - Marianne Design Stitched Circle die
Pin, charm, paint dabber - Ribbon Girl
Lace - Live and Love Crafts
Pearls, butterflies - Samuel Taylors
Gems, ribbon - from my stash

I've melted some shaved ice fragments and crystal embossing powder into chunky white frantage around the image (all from the white Encrusted Jewel Kit) but the camera hasn't picked up how sparkly it is!

All Dressed Up have generously offered a prize of two digis to the lucky winner of this challenge:

Don't forget, we're in our Christmas break period now so all creations with one DP are welcome! You'll find some lovely inspiration from my teammates over at the Winter Wonderland blog.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
All Dressed Up Challenge - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Get in Shape (square, circle, star)

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments - I appreciate it so much.

Have a lovely weekend!

Shoot for the Moon...

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days. I've been doing lots of crafting but just haven't had anything finished until now.
I've always liked the quotation: 'Shoot for the moon... Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.' and I thought it would go well with Sagittarius Tilda so I've put them together on a journal. I recently bought some more Frantage and I've used the Silver Encrusted Jewel Kit to create the stars (which are an X-cut die). I have also used:
Papers (hand-stitched) - Maja Design (Vintage Spring Basics)
Seam binding, lace, crystal pin, hemp twine, winged heart charm, tiny vintage blooms - Ribbon Girl
Cheesecloth, gesso - Live and Love Crafts
Roses - Wild Orchid Crafts
Lettering - Pion Design cut-out sheet
Pearls, tiny wooden stars (covered with Aged Silver Frantage), Pumice Stone Distress Ink (used on Kraft card and letters) - Samuel Taylors

A close-up of one of the stars:

I'm entering my journal into the following challenges:
Midweek Magnolias - New Stash (Frantage kit and this is one of my latest Tildas)
Papertake Weekly - It's All New (new Frantage kit and encrusted jewel technique)
Simply Magnolia - Vintage or Shabby Chic

Thank you for taking the time to visit! I appreciate your kind words so much.

Have a great day!

Love You Bunches

Happy New Year! Thank you so much for all of your lovely New Year wishes - I hope 2015 is a brilliant year for everyone! Have you made any resolutions? I don't normally make them but last year I decided to put some on here and I actually kept them! I wanted to work on my colouring and although I never progressed with the pens I was using at the time, it turned out even better than I'd hoped when I bought Inktense pencils and found a colouring medium that I actually love using! My second resolution was to use my craft supplies instead of saving them because they're too nice. This one was definitely put to the test when I bought some of my first Maja Design papers, but once I'd cut into my first sheet I was converted to the idea that beautiful craft products shouldn't be hidden away when you can get so much pleasure out of using them!
So my resolutions for this year are:
- Try new techniques and different types of crafting projects. I so often look at other people's creations and think 'I'd love to try that' but end up putting it off.
- Be a better blogger and not get so behind on catching up with everyone.
- Use the stamps I already have! I know I'm not alone in buying new stamps when I have others still unused so hopefully I'll do better with it this year. This one is definitely a cautious resolution because I'm not sure how well I'll be able to resist new releases...

So now onto my card and I'll keep this bit brief:
Image (coloured with Inktense pencils) - Love You Bunches (Sylvia Zet Wee image, Whimsy via Bunny Zoe's Crafts)
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley (Everyday Grungy Messages)
Papers (hand-stitched) - Maja Design (Fika collection) via Live and Love Crafts
Hessian ribbon, 'Amanda' lace, memo pin - Ribbon Girl
Roses, apple blossoms, carnations - Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaves - Noor! Design die
Butterflies, pearls - Samuel Taylors

I'm entering this card into the following challenge:
Sweet Stampin' - New (I've used one of my new stamps)

Thank you so much for visiting - your wonderful comments mean so much to me.

Have a great weekend!
